Behind The Scenes

Have you ever wondered what a furniture shoot is like? We’re taking you behind the scenes of the latest DwellStudio for Precedent shoot for a first hand look at what it entails.
Christiane Lemieux was there to oversee the shoot and give her creative input.

Casting Call

Just like scouting for models, we went through our product line and picked out which “models,” in our case frames, we wanted to show.

Finn Faceted Sideboard, Irving Chair, and Odin Round Lamp Table

Wardrobe

Next we needed to dress them! Only instead of dresses, blazers, and tops, we used our fabric line. We went through the line and picked out bold patterns, soft textures, and fun colors, just like putting together an outfit.
Ellis Stone, Medallion Band Mineral, and Reynolds Leather Dove

Hair and Makeup

In preparation for every shot, no detail is left untouched. Each room scene is combed over by our "hair and makeup" team. From bedding to hanging art, they scrutinized over every detail to make sure the picture turned out perfect.

Accessories

One of the best parts of a photo shoot is accessorizing! At a furniture shoot, we use books, lamps, tableware, and art as the accessories. Just like the perfect belt and make an outfit, the perfect rug or art piece can make a room!

The Final Product

The result from all this hard work is beautiful shots of our furniture.
