Mad for Mad Men

With the popularity of AMC's Mad Men, mid-century modern style is showing up everywhere. From the runway to the home, designers are finding inspiration form the set of the show. The sixties are back, but with a modern twist.

Mid-century modern style is all about clean lines, neutral palettes, bold accents, and textures. Fashion designers are recreating the looks from the show, adding a modern elegance to the feminine, retro sixties style. The house dress is a new hit!

Banana Republic even launch a Mad Men collection in March. They've taken style cues from the show and translated them into 40 exclusive pieces of clothing and jewelry.

This craze doesn't stop on the runway. Interior designers are recreating the sets of the show in their clients homes, and this style isn't new to Precedent. We have many mid-century modern pieces that can bring the Mad Men style into your home.

3132-S1 in Ross Terra                            3132-C1 in Christopher Terra
Our new 3132 series offers clean lines and simplistic styling with a retro flair. This sofa and chair would fit right in on the set of Mad Men.

1037-C1 in Gustav's Terra
The 1037-C1 chair also is inspired by mid-century modern design. The exposed wood offers an element of texture and the fabric is the perfect, bold accent pattern.

Our DwellStudio for Precedent collection also offers upholstery and occasional pieces that will complete your Mad Men home transformation. Here's a look at some of the pieces.
