Here at Precedent, we are proud proud to say all of our upholstery furniture is made in American, right at our factory in Newton, North Carolina.

For over thirty years, we have been employing local North Carolinians to produce our beautifully hand crafted furniture. We blend the traditional skill of hand craftsmanship with modern manufacturing methods to produce a product with unmistakable value.

Using the LEAN manufacturing model, we are able to cut down on inventory, and put our employees to work in value adding positions. From assembly to upholstery, every set of hands that touch our furniture adds unique quality and value.

There are several benefits to producing our product in the US. The most significant benefit is quality control. If there is ever an issue with a frame, cushion, or fabric cover, we are able to see and correct the problem immediately, before the issue repeats itself. We are able to hold our product to a higher standard and avoid costly mistakes even the smallest errors can cause.

Producing in the US also cuts down on our carbon footprint. Since we don't have to ship container loads of furniture over from other countries, we are cutting down on emissions and costs from transportation. Additionally, almost all of our supplies come from within a 150 mile radius of our plant.

We are proud to have created jobs for Americans and help support other American companies that supply us with fabric, cushions and exposed wood frames.
